“Why College”
“I will be the first in my family to even graduate from high school and to attend college. I want to be able to set an example for many kids like me who are not fortunate enough to have someone close to them show them the way to success.”
GLOW provides financial education, mentoring, and “unmet need” scholarships to high potential, college-ready students from under-resourced communities. By using college financing, the first major financial event for most students, as a platform for financial education, GLOW not only helps low income students get access to college education, but also provides students with the critical financial literacy and planning skills that will help them succeed beyond their schools years.
